Autumn has arrived, the temperatures have dropped to the mid 20’s. Yesterday it was a drizzly day, the sun hiding behind grey, wispy clouds. Light showers came and went. A day to be inside feeling slightly sorry for myself after a dentist visit. But time spent visiting my lovely WP community lifted my spirits.
Then the sky slowly cleared and I sat out on the back deck to watch this gentle sunset.
The night cools to a comfortable 18c degrees. Good sleeping temperature.
As a gardener I welcome any rain in autumn as “traditionally” (what is that these days?) autumn is the dry season.
This morning the sun is peeping through those wispy clouds. Time to take a walk around the garden and say good morning to my plant community.
Then I will take a cyber trip around the world to visit my interesting blogging buddies.Â
Such a soothing sight! Dad is absorbed in football on TV and I’m delighted to escape into the blogs, even within the limits of a cellphone x

What lovely writing – mellowed me right out in spite of your reference to the dentist.

Thank you I appreciate your comment and, fortunately, the effects of the dentist have worn off.

I’m really enjoying the cooler weather here too, Pauline. It’s been quite hazy though and i’m not sure why. I watched the weather on the news last night and saw it was pretty hazy where you are too.
If hubby had gone to the dentist last week he wouldn’t be sitting here now moaning and waiting for it to open today after sleepless night 😉 Sometimes we just really need them.

I can’t understand the haze either, no bush fires!!! Sorry to hear hubby is suffering too, hope he is feeling better. I slept ok with the help of pain killers. I’m feeling ok now though.

I would love to have you paint that sunset Jill. I am slowly getting back into my art. Good luck with the painting.

Your light showers sound wonderful, Pauline. Dentists seem to be a necessary evil. I somehow don’t think they would like my description of their profession. 😀 Beautiful image.

They also have a trapped clientele and charge a fortune!!! 😦

Oh what a beautiful and gentle photo. I looked at it for a long time, mentally escaping inside the images. The black of the leaves in contrast with the silver, blue and muted apricots. I love the photo. Must get my camera out into our garden…Thankyou for inspiring me. You are such a positive person, a moment of inner sadness is ok. Be kind to yourself. How wonderful that your blogger friendships lifted your spirits.
Happy Autumn Pauline and Jack. Delicious cool nights, good sleeps and beautiful humidity free days. Enjoy!

I’m off to the garden to plant some onions. So lovely to see your garden pics. Oh I love your blue tongue lizard, and your photos, I have never really seen how blue their tongues could be.
Keep up the great blogs, I enjoy each and every one.

Loved it but it was still virtual travel. Spent the next 3 weeks in the Philippines really enjoying the country ( for the 3 rd time ) hot and sweaty but happy enjoying the country and its wonderful people. Great experience.
Stayed in b n b iwhich is so different. Cruis and on the ground travel, great comparison.
Both enjoyable with totally different experiences. We are so fortunate to have had the opportunity to enjoy both.
We are off again may 22 combination of cruise and back packing and of course snorkelling. Looking forward to experiences. Love to you both
