Remember the caterpillars that nibbled the edges of my young, immature tomatoes? Well they left some for me.

So small, but so sweet. The fruits of my labour…

  1. Well done. Did you grow many?

  2. The first tomato of the season is reason to celebrate. I have been burying my nose in my seedling tomato plants, just for the smell.

    • How is your weather Brenda? Has spring arrived properly yet?

      • It’s tiptoeing in. We had a week of cold and wet and then yesterday was gloriously sunny. Our trees are just starting to leaf out and the tulips beginning to bloom. Next week is supposed to be warmer and I expect spring in full glory.

  3. Oh, I can even SMELL them 🙂

  4. Beautifully ripe and healthy!

  5. Yum! (And well done). I’ve a long time to wait yet for my tomatoes.

  6. Yum! Fresh tomatoes are soooo good.

  7. How delicious! I can smell them from here. I love home grown tomatoes!

  8. Far tastier than the ones we buy in the supermarket, enjoy Pauline!

  9. The first shots make the tomatoes look big. Gotta love a cherry tomato, though!! I miss a garden…living in an apartment 21 stories up.

    • That’s why I put the shot of them in my hand. The first shots are very deceptive. You could grow herbs in a pot on your windowsill!!!

  10. you are so nice to let the little critters nibble – that is hard for me to do. and mmmm mmmm good to homegrown.

  11. I don’t know if those are what we call cherry tomatoes, about the size of large marbles, but if so, I dearly love them. Just like eating candy that’s good for you.

  12. Very satisfying, picking one’s own fresh vegetables, and yours look so healthy, Pauline.
