Weekly Photo Challenge this week is HOME A great opportunity to show you the beautiful place I live in. The Goldcoast is a favourite tourist destination. It boasts sun, sea, sand and a terrific climate almost year round.
Today, a perfect Sunday, brought out the people in their thousands. We drove along the coast looking for a parking spot and a place for lunch. We marvelled at the colour of the ocean the crisp white surf rolling in, all ages enjoying this beautiful weather. But parking was non-existent, eventually we spotted a car pulling out, right in front of the Currumbin Surf club, a perfect place for lunch.
So in we went, camera in hand to show you some of our day in this place I call home. Some of the photos in this gallery are from previous photo trips a couple are of our garden and a couple I just like, so added them as well .
I hope you enjoy this slice of my home…

Maybe being retired I don’t have so many distractions, so can spend quality time in the garden, (that is when I am not on the computer.)..lol

Maybe you only think Surfers Paradise and the “glitter strip” when you think GC.. I don’t go to that area as it is always full of tourists, there are many more quiet places to discover…

I think you might be right….I hate that strip

Unfortunately the young set have taken it over and it mostly caters for that age with all the night clubs, knick-knack shops, Macdonald’s etc. Burleigh is more laid back and family orientated.

Thanks Cindy I feel for you and your cold weather, I make that conversion to be minus2 to 3… I could not live in that cold climate. We think it is cold when it drops below 10deg. No wonder the poor avocados are curling up their toes

Wonderful photos, Pommepal. Love your beautiful garden, and that pic of Snappers Rocks is outstanding. Number one has to be the gorgeous sunset. 🙂

That sunset is taken across a lake that is just in the street behind where we live
