Plants are not stationery, they are constantly growing, moving and twisting toward the light.
“When you enter a grove peopled with ancient trees, higher than the ordinary, and shutting out the sky with their thickly inter-twined branches, do not the stately shadows of the wood, the stillness of the place, and the awful gloom of this doomed cavern then strike you with the presence of a deity?”
– Seneca

This week, share a photo of something that says “twist” to you. It might be that perfect ice cream cone, a yummy bit of liquorice, or something unexpected that surprised, shocked, or startled you.
I especially love the palm fronds! Beautiful!

what great variety you give us – and I like the man (Jack) looking up on the path – it gives more of a feel for the majestic size of everything – and what a picture to keep soaking up – all were – and that is why I liked the variety of twists – the Seneca quote was nice – and loved how you said this (because it reminds me of people in way as well

There is never ending beauty in nature and you certainly captured some great ‘twisty’ shots. Loved the photo of the green palm fronds the best although they were all awesome. Thanks for sharing 🙂

I love palm trees, don’t see them where we live. I didn’t know the fronds twist so. Great shots, that must be a wonderful place to visit. I like the Seneca quote, too.

G’day Patti, they are definitely tropical lovers and just say hot balmy weather. I love them too and have a lot of them in my garden back in Queensland

Thank you for taking me back into rainforest. I used to spend a lot of time in rainforest, before rock-hopping, before boating … Before other things moved to the foreground. My favourite is the second one- that’s a real catch.
