Hobart is the capital city of Tasmania but it still has the laid-back rural charm of a country town. Today is Sunday and almost all the shops are shut. A few people are wandering around. Clusters of young people gather in the park. It feels relaxed and stress free.
The sun is shining again.
This is the Town Hall a beautiful Georgian sandstone building that was opened in 1866 it symbolised the hope of future greatness for the city.
I am a passionate gardener and love flowers and all things horticultural so of course we have to go in to see this…
For 2 hours we were immersed in the beautiful world of flowers. The Rotary Club supplied delicious fresh sandwiches and scones still warm from the oven with a cup of tea that we enjoyed for lunch at the very reasonable total price of $16. A lovely end to the outing.
We had come over on the local bus and were very happy to find they still have senior day passes. So for $3-20 we could come and go all day around Hobart. But now it was time to head back home and take the dogs for their walk.

I grew chrysanths in New Zealand and loved them, but they don’t like the humidity of Queensland so just have to admire them in other places
