Come on, join me. It is hard to leave the warm comfort of your bed but there is a fairy land waiting to be explored. The mist is drifting across Lake Burley Griffin shrouding the world in dreams and expectations of a beautiful, sparkling day to follow, when the sun has chased away the mist.
Now it is time to head back home for a hot cup of coffee and breakfast.

Actually, I was thinking about this last night and realised I usually miss Canberra around Christmas time when it’s about 35 deg here and 99% humidity. Then I think I’d give anything for a few seconds of a crisp Canberra morning 😀

I’ve been very pleasantly surprised at how good Canberra is Jane. You must visit here next time you are in Australia.

oooooo – love misty photos and these were great. I like the different shots and how cool that people just adapt and run in it all – I wish we had more fog and mist here in VA – but oh well. anyhow, have a great Friday amiga

It took Jack some persuading to get me out of my warm bed Y. But it was worth the effort.

Leave people asleep. Be selfish and enjoy the peace and mist! The photos really live up to your words. Two really memorable mist-walks for me: Cradle Lake in Tasmania and the ruins at Palmyra in Syria. Both in near solitude.
I’m looking at this post in Bungendore en route to Canberra. Maybe I’ll try to catch mistiness tomorrow morning.

Love Bungendore, hope to get there one more time before we head back home to the GC. I was surprised how many people were walking/running/biking along Lake Burley Griffin in the mist and of course canoeing as well. I love Tasmania too. You would not want to be in Syria now…
