15 km road into “Funny Dunny” across the salt flats

The road into the camp ground was an unsealed road but quite good, only a few corrogations. It wound along through approx 15km of rugged salt flats. We had a few utes overtake us, at speed, throwing up clouds of dust. They all had motorcross bikes on their trays.

Fortunately when we arrived at the campsite we heard the bikes roaring over the dunes quite a distance from the camp, thank goodness…

  2. Hello Pauline and Jack,

I love what you two are doing! I am planning my own WWOOFing trip around the world, including Australia in 2011, and I was wondering if you would be able to share your hosts and your experiences. Any advice would be extremely helpful. My email is bridgettblough@gmail.com

    Hello Pauline and Jack,

I love the look and sound of your nomadic lifestyle; it’s making me want to take off somewhere! It’s summer here so we are enjoying an outdoor life, but not on the move. The fish would have tasted wonderful, being so fresh! Keep it coming!

    Take care, Sandra
