On the road again…

GC to Armidale pc 013_4000x3000

We are heading over the Great Dividing Range travelling to Sydney via the inland road and it is springtime.

We are travelling in our Toyota Corolla car this time but we see lots of caravans and campers on the road and it reminds us of previous trips in Matilda.

The scenery is quite spectacular.

Fields are covered in white daisies and they look like snow.

At 1330metres it is the top of the ranges, so we stop in a small township called Guyra,  for a wander around and stretch our legs. It is Sunday and the shops are shut and the streets deserted, but look what we see…

I have to go over for a closer look.

A bench with writing on it. Just what Jude is asking for in this months “bench series”

We are now in Armidale doing a 3 day, mini house sit. So much to see in this fascinating heritage city but that must wait for another day…

  4. Luv the daisy snow – and cool yellow bench – I found one with writing today too (finally) – but my fav photo from this post was the dandelion flowers in their different stages – so thought provoking to see the full yellow and the dried up whisky ones right next to each other – and a bit of a soft focus – just really beautiful P

      • I wish it were springtime here. but we have mild winters here in VA so the winters are not too bad – and I will soak up spring through bloggers like u – and love jack’s drawing – it came up in the reader as the feature pic for this post and love the feel of those chairs

  6. I love your sense of adventure PP – you never seem to stop! Lovely bright bench, it was the windows that caught my eye though! And how wonderful to take the inland road, it looks amazing. I guess the coastal route is busy right now. I look forward to seeing what you have for us 😀

  7. Lovely post Pauline. I learnt about the fields of pyrethrum daisies this week.
“Botanical Resources Australia Pty Ltd (BRA) is the Australian grower of over 60 % of the world’s pyrethrum, the botanical insecticide, and runs the most high-tech pyrethrum industry in the world.”
