Our Christmas was HOT which I still find strange after being in this part of the world for 50+ years I still think of Christmas in terms of cold, snow, roaring fires and hot Christmas dinners. We have salads, cold ham and prawns!!!!

They were doing a good special on hams this year $5-99 a kg. We had ham and salad for Christmas lunch…

well that is a pretty obvious detail – lol – but we have a bit of surfing in our background – so I do sometimes look at boards – but wow – those santas can surf!!

A lot of the International pro surfing carnivals are held at this beach. I love watching them from the headlands. Many top surfers were born and bred in this area and they learnt to surf in the Burleigh barrels.

how cool – and we have heard some surfers say that there and hawaii is the “must visit bucket list” for surfers – ๐
and the area where some of my family lives down in Florida is proud of their local boy who made surfing history – not sure if you hear dog Kelly Slater – and they have a few statues of him around thereโฆ ๐
