We have been here 8 weeks that only seem like 2, the time has slipped by so quickly. Tomorrow Naomi arrives home from her adventures in Indonesia, and it will be time for us to move on.
But before we leave I would like to show you how the garden has grown. Do you remember the post 6 weeks ago? It hadn’t rained for a long time, the 3 rainwater tanks were almost empty and I had to nurse the tiny seedlings along with regular watering. Then it rained. Since then we have had showers on a couple of days every week, and the plants have thrived.
This was 6 weeks ago, look at them now.
We have enjoyed our stay but next week it will be back on the road again. So it is “Goodbye” for a while. We will not have a constant internet connection, in fact maybe none. I will miss my daily fix of meandering through cyberspace visiting my lovely community. But I will no doubt have hundreds of photographs to sort and show and tell in a months time when we settle in to our next house sit at Canberra.
I’ve been thinking of container planting some vegetables, these are doing quite well!

Great way to garden, easy on the back, and saves a lot of water.

I haven’t come this way for a long , long time. Busy looking after a little grandson and don’t have much time to cyber-surf. Oh! But I so love your gypsy life . I have to find time to come back and update myself with all your travelogues. And this garden is just so lovely. What a joy it is to see plants grow and flower and fruit. Some day I’m going to settle down some place where I can indulge myself with this experience . Have a great time, wherever it is that you are off to. 🙂

Thanks for the catch up Nadira I am travelling at the moment in South West of WA so no time for blogging till we settle down again in about 4 weeks time. Can just grab occasional stops in public libraries to catch up with emails, blog comments. Then it is “on-on” again….

wow!!!!! those plants are doing so well – looks like lots of TLC and the needed rain did the trick – all ready for Naomi –
and Pomme – we will miss you in transition – well I know I will 🙂 and I have much appreciated your comments on some of my posts.
anyhow, the garden pictures in this post are fun – the close-ups (tomatoes, flowers, etc.) were clear and crisp — and this whole post made me love Naomi’s garden even more – and excited for my gardening – even though this year I am only doing a very few select items –
okay – have a great month until Canberra
🙂
and to Naomi – hope you enjoy your awesome garden….

We came at a good time because of the rain every thing raced away. but you missed my 3 pumpkins I grew from seed. No worry they are only small yet Pauline.

Ah yes Jack those pumpkin seeds you tucked away in a corner, but they are doing well.

Jack I’ll be doing a garden post pretty soon on my blog and I’ll definitely include your pumpkins. Thankyou both for nurturing my garden. I am especially grateful for the compost Pauline, I’ve never been successful at making it but you have given me hope that I can continue your good work. And there’s no shortage of greenery for me to pull out before it sets seed!!
