I have just packed the last of what I think we will need into Matilda and we are ready to head north tomorrow.
It will take approx. 5 days to travel the 2000 kilometres to the Atherton Tablelands in tropical north Queensland. Matilda is 16 years old and I’m sure in car years she is as old as we are, so we all like to travel slowly, taking time to look around as we go.
We are going north for winter and will be house sitting in the Atherton Tablelands and will be foster parents to a family of felines this time. I am looking forward to meeting them. We will be off the blogosphere for approx. a week. I can feel withdrawal symptoms coming on already.

Thanks Deanna, I tried to download a map to show where we are going but I couldn’t do it. Will maybe go to the forums next week to get some help and show our trip. The distance is very deceiving on a map. It is a beautiful area I’m looking forward to all the photo opps
