Relaxing time

Relaxing time, originally uploaded by gypsy woman1.

The joys of travel. Finding a special place away from the crowds that only locals know about. This is one of those places. The swimming hole at 5 mile creek, just south of Cardwell.

Swimming at 5 mile creek

We had stopped in Cardwell to call into Bec’s shop “Holy Dooly” I was so pleased I had gone in as she has a fashion shop and the lovely cool styles she stocked were just what I have looked for. Kaftan style, beautiful colours and very reasonable prices. I bought 2. One at $19 the other only $25. I am wearing one in the top photo and since I bought them I have worn them all the time. Bec told us about 5 mile creek and said she would be home by 5pm and suggested we might enjoy a swim on the way to their place. As the temperature had soared to 35+deg it was an excellent suggestion.
