Japoonvale rest area

japoonvale rest area , originally uploaded by gypsy woman1.

We are now off the main Bruce Highway and following the Canecutters way, which is the old Bruce highway and we found this great free camping area. No power and due to the hurricane destroying the toilet block in February it had no facilities at all, but what a position and so quiet.

The solar panel is now going to be very useful. We stayed here 2 nights the first night we had the place to ourselves the second night 5 other vans turned up and after dinner Barry and Joan got a campfire going and we all gathered around to chat and swap stories. Great way to spend an evening, much better than watching tv….
