Canberra

Canberra, originally uploaded by gypsy woman1.

Parliament House is a beautiful building and when framed by the clear blue sky and reflected in the water it is very photogenic. It is interesting to have a tour and learn all the history of this building and one fact was all the clocks and the bell system that gives the politicians only 4 minutes to get back into the chambers when votes are taken and there are 23 kms of corridors…

The War Memorial was a very imposing and large building on a hill looking straight down to Parliament House. There was so much to see. We started with a 90 minute guided tour that gave us a real insight to the horrors and bravery of the “anzacs” We were there till it closed at 5pm. and still had to hurry to see the final couple of displays.
