We did a detour from the Great Ocean Road and went inland to the Otway National Park. This is a cool temperate rainforest area and is a magical wonderland to walk through. It was a damp misty day and the ferns and majestic mountain ash trees faded into the mist, like a scene from a disney land picture. We did the one hour round walk to the Triplet falls and due to the heavy rain in Victoria last week it was in full flow and all 3 of the falls cascaded over the rocks.
We have been on a number of bush and forest walks around Australia and each one is so different and every one beautiful in different ways. This one was the atmospheric effect of the mist that created a very special atmosphere.
