Stirling Ranges in the rain

Stirling Ranges , originally uploaded by gypsy woman1.

It has been a week of changing weather from 3days of sweltering in the mid 30’s, when Perth was declared in a heatwave,to waking up on Wednesday to rain and cold winds.

We were heading into the national parks north of Albany, Porongurup and then the Stirlings when this changable weather arrived. First it was too hot for bush walking so as we had found a really comfortable caravan park with a camp kitchen like a home away from home, a dining area with comfy seats and fly screens on all the windows and doors. So we took our books over there and moved in during the hottest part of the day. Then Wednesday we woke to rain and cold winds. The Stirlings where beautiful, but the cloud was low and we decided to just keep driving and we did not get the chance to do any walking.
