Cable beach sunset, Broome

Cable beach sunset, Broome, originally uploaded by gypsy woman1.

This was a beautiful evening, with a glass of wine and sharing it with friends. The weather in Broome at this time of the year is as close to perfect as you can get…

After watching the sunset we went to the Divers Tavern for a meal and was joined by Leigh and Ian. We managed to get a table for 6, it was very busy. Enjoyed the meal, I had prawn and avocado salad, yummy, then we went to the concert by the Pigram Brothers click on this link to find details of them. They are an icon group in the area and have a large following so the venue was full and rocking. Ended up with most people standing and dancing to the music, including us. Great stuff…

Jack made friends with a group of aboriginal women and they gave him an aboriginal name “Yabaroo” they said it was an honour to be named this as it meant “same name” and they were calling him that because he had the same name as their Grandfather who had recently passed away.

We have had a really good stay and will be moving on in 2 days, so on Sunday it will be fond farewells to Rob and Rae and we will be heading south to the wild flowers.

  1. G’day Sandra, I enjoy getting your comments, this is a laid back sort of area and will be hard to drag ourselves away as we are now on “Broome time”

Beautiful shot of the sunset! The journey continues to unfold and reveal lots of fascinating places and people. Keep it coming. Best wishes Sandra
