BBQ tea ceremony

BBQ tea ceremony, originally uploaded by gypsy woman1.

BBQ area

We had the BBQ the evening we arrived. Alison cooked kangaroo and it was delicious. The evening finished with a cup of smoked billy tea, in the traditional fashion. Peter performed the smoked billy tea ceremony as good as a Zen master.

This is the BBQ area photographed the next morning…
After breakfast next morning we helped by tying paper bags on the grapefruit as moths the size of your palm would attack them and suck out  the juice.
We also put nets over smaller trees to protect them as well. Then finished by picking up the ripe pecan nuts as Peter knocked them down, we filled 2 buckets.

It all sounds super, I can almost smell the smoke. Lovely!

    Regards Sandra

  3. What a fascinating life you had, and having now.
    To read first few lines
—- BBQ Kangaroo —- What ? Then it took a while to figured out where and who you are.
Still I have no idea what is ” Smoked billy tea”
or palm-sized moth etc etc. Its almost the
news from the another world, yet still, to feel
the heart beat of the person who is enjoying
the life, is a real pleasure.
( By the way, I used to be a member of the
Alpine Club of Japan and went quite few
expeditions though, I’m stack here in London
    now—– I rather envy you)

I love to receive comments, maybe we could start a conversation.
