Map of distance travelled so far…

This is not 100% right as we went via Bunya Mountains and not via Dalby but it gives a general idea of how far we have come. Not very far in 24 days when it calculates you could do it in 6 hours….

That’s the beauty of your trip, you can enjoy the scenic route along the byways and really see things along the way properly and not just in a blur as it would be going the fast way! Loving the descriptions, and photos. The map is good; I can now see your location in relation to some places I know the names of to get a better general idea……it’s such a big place!

There are a couple of interesting things in the Biggenden area that you have probably already discovered!
The Chowie bridge is one of only three stone arched bridges built in Queensland.
At Coulstone Lakes, there is the smallest NP in Queensland. Coalstoun Lakes are an important example of twin crater lakes on a single peak. They are good examples of relatively young volcanic landforms which are rare in south-east Queensland. Dundurrah lava tube is the best example of this geological feature in south-east Queensland.
