Garden Club Day

As President of the Robina Garden Club I am committed to finishing my term as President before we take off. So today, at the monthly meeting, I told the members of our plans, and that I would not be standing for nomination next year. The AGM is end of February 2010 so that is plenty of time to nominate a successor.

I have enjoyed my year as President and 2 years as Vice President. It is a friendly and very supportive membership and it is one of the things I will miss as we leave the coast behind for an unspecified time.A garden club meeting

Having now told the club of our intentions I feel that we are now fully committed to the trip. I had lots of positive comments from the members and though they say they will miss us they also understand why we are going now and I think many of them would also like to make the trip. Though many have of course already “been there, done that” Australians are very adventurous by nature.
